Our Story
For nearly half a century, we have been serving the greater Boston area, creating the spaces where we live, work, learn, and play. We pride ourselves in our "people first" approach which prioritizes the humanity and dignity of everyone involved in our projects, from designers and tradespeople to owners and end-users. We strive to constantly expand our capacity for improvement, so we can better our community through both our work and behaviors. We take on the challenges that other companies won’t, leveraging deep experience in the industry to make big things happen. Guided by our internal values, we seek out partners and projects that provide an opportunity to make a positive impact on our community.
WB (originally White Builders, Inc.) was founded by Dennis White in 1977, and through his leadership, was distinguished as the contractor of choice for some of Greater Boston’s most discerning architects and owners. Dennis built a business he could be proud of, establishing a reputation for high-quality work and the cultivation of an experienced and savvy team of professionals. This strict commitment to excellence in all things is the blueprint from which the company continues to operate.
WB. has been and will always be a family-owned business. Dennis was succeeded by his son, Marshall White, who has grown up in the company and devoted himself to continuing and building upon his father’s legacy. Under his purview, WB has adopted new innovations in construction technology, sustainable building, and lean delivery methods. For our team, we are not only connected by our collective years of experience in the building trades, but by our desire to push the envelope on what is possible.
For us, one thing will always ring true: People first, period.
